Osteoplant® – bone substitute material from horse bone tissue

Osteoplant® bone grafts (Bioteck) are extracted from horse bone tissue using a unique chemical-physical deantigenization process (Zymo-Teck).
The use of an enzymatic process at 37 degrees C allows for the complete elimination of antigens from the tissue without altering the minerals present in the tissue also preserving collagen in its unaltered form. The unmodified bone mineral phase is recognized by osteoclasts as endogenous.
A biocompatible product with osteoconductive properties. In the body, the regenerative material is conse- quently subjected to a process of complete remodeling, being eventually fully replaced by endogenous bone.
Indications: revisions, trauma, HTO osteotomies.
