On March 19, 2026, a cadaver wrist course dedicated to the Motec® wrist prosthesis system was held at Swemac headquarters in Linköping, Sweden. The event brought together surgeons from Poland and abroad; therefore, it created an excellent environment for international knowledge exchange and the comparison of different clinical approaches. Moreover, this cadaver wrist course provided participants not only with theoretical insights but also with the opportunity to significantly enhance their practical surgical skills under conditions closely resembling real-life procedures.
The course program was carefully designed to be comprehensive, as it combined expert-led lectures with extensive hands-on sessions. In particular, emphasis was placed on surgical technique, appropriate patient selection, and the management of potential complications. Furthermore, working with anatomical specimens enabled participants to practice each stage of the procedure in detail, which, in turn, substantially increased the educational value of the training.
The sessions were led by internationally recognized experts, including Dr. Ole Reigstad, Greg Packer, Prof. Maurizio Calcagni, and Dr. Daniel Brown. As a result of their extensive clinical experience, participants received practical insights that can be directly applied in daily practice. Consequently, attendees highly appreciated both the scientific level of the course and its practical relevance.
In addition, the course provided an excellent platform for open discussion and professional networking. Participants were able not only to exchange experiences but also to compare their individual approaches and gain new perspectives. Finally, the event highlighted a modern approach to medical education, as it effectively combined theory, practice, and international collaboration.
