At St. Adalbert’s Hospital in Poznan, Dr. Lukasz Gmerek, M.D., performed the first procedure in Poland using the VIVOSTAT system to close an anal fistula.
Thanks to the use of two modern technologies in the treatment of perianal fistula, VAAFT and VIVOSTAT, the patient will recover faster from the procedure.
By obtaining autologous platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) from the patient’s blood, the surgeon has a preparation with excellent adhesive properties, which he applies in the fistula tract. Bonding of the wound occurs, and in addition, natural growth factors are released for seven days, which accelerate healing, making the pain in the operated area significantly reduced.
The patient is already after two follow-up visits. We wish you a speedy recovery!
